Order

In the G.O. 1st read above, Government has constituted State Level Taskforce Committee under the Chairmanship of the Commissioner, A.P.Vaidya Vidhana Parishad for implementation of Dr.YSR Kanti Velugu – Mass Eye Screening Programme launching on 10-10-2019.

In the G.O. 2nd read above, Government while issuing orders for Administrative Sanction for implementation of Dr.YSR Kanti Velugu Programme, designed the plan of action for implementation of the program as follows:
A School Eye Screening ==>I, II Phases
B Community Mass Eye Screening ==> III, IV & V Phases

In letter 3rd read above, the Commissioner, A.P.Vaidya Vidhana Parishad has requested to issue orders for the constitution of District Taskforce Committee under the Chairmanship of District Collectors concerned.

Government after careful examination of the matter, hereby constitute District Task Force Committee with the following members under the Chairmanship of District Collectors concerned for implementation of Dr.YSR Kanti Velugu – Mass Eye Screening Programme.

District Task Force Committee

1. District Collector – Chairman
2. District Medical & Health Officer – Nodal Officer
3. District Coordinator of Hospital Services.
4. Superintendent, Government General Hospital.
5. District Education Officer (for Phase I&II)
6. District Programme Manager NPCB.
7. Representatives from Panchayat Raj & Rural Development Department and Municipal Administration & Urban Development Department.

Functions of Committee

A.Preparation of micro action plans for each phase.
B. Ensuring the availability of all the manpower and materials required for the implementation of the programme.
C.Capacity building through periodic training.
D. Strengthening of Public Health Institutions for providing sustainable universal eye care in the state.
E.Interdepartmental coordination with special emphasis on Education Department, Panchayat Raj Department, Rural Development Department, Municipal Administration & Urban Development Department.
F. Coordination with Government Institutions, NGO hospitals, voluntary organizations, and Vision Centres impaneled with NPCB.
G.Integration of Private Hospitals / Private Nursing Colleges / Private Para Medical Institutions in programme.
H.Implementation of the action plan, supervision monitoring, and equality assurance.
