SEC Permitted to give permission to 1or 2 hours employees to cast their votes on polling day in GP elections
In reference 1 cited, the General Secretary, A.P. Teachers' Federation, Vijayawada has made a request that the State election Commission grant Special Leave or On-duty facility to the Employees to cast their votes in their native places in other divisions and enclosed a copy of the reference 2nd cited.
The State Election Commission, after careful examination of the representation, hereby requests the Collectors and District Election Authorities to consider the requests made by the employees for granting of permission for one (1) or two (2) hours on the day of poll in the ongoing elections to Gram Panchayats, to enable them to cast their votes in their native places situated in other Divisions, i.e., other than the Divisions in which they work or reside, Such requests shall be accompanied by a proof with regard to their enrolment as voters, This facility may be given to the employees, who are not drafted on any election-related work, as the employees, who are deployed on election duty will cast their vote through postal ballot only.
