Inspection of implementation of MDM & School Sanitation in the Schools by the Educational Welfare Assistant


The Government of Andhra Pradesh gives topmost priority for Mid Day Meal-Jagananna Gorumudda & School Sanitation. Honourable Chief Minister has been reviewing the implementation on priority basis every fortnight. As per the instructions of Honourable Chief Minister, a Four Tier system of monitoring by Head Master / Parent committees, Education welfare Assistants inward Village Sachivalayam, Office bearers of village organizations / Federation of SERP / MEPMA and other Officials. Accordingly, the Education Welfare Assistant have to inspect the schools thrice a week. The Honourable Chief Minister also instructed that a Mobile App has to be developed and the inspections of the above stakeholders to be entered in the App daily and to be monitored through DashBoard.

Accordingly, a Mobile App (MMS) has been developed for capturing the inspection data by the Head Masters / Parent Committees / Educational Assistance. Village Organizations and Officials. Training has been conducted for all stakeholders Mandal wise. However, Educational Welfare Assistants are not regularly inspecting the Schools. These aspects were reviewed by Honourable Chief Minister in the review meeting held on 03.02 2021 and the Hon'ble Chief Minister expressed displeasure on the poor status of inspections by Educational Welfare Assistants and others. instructed to reach the saturation level of inspections by all stakeholders including Educational Welfare Assistant as per the schedule and monitor the inspections.

Government after careful examination of the matter, hereby directed to all the Jt. Collectors (VWS, D) issue the instruction strictly to the Educational Welfare Assistants to inspect Schools regularly to implementation of Jagananna Gorumudda and School Sanitation (Thrice in a week) without fail and upload the inspection details in the Mobile App (IMMS) to take appropriate decisions at Govt. level.
