Chapter V of the RTE Act-2009 enumerates some terms and norms including coordination and participation of the parents and the community. The success of any Legislation or Act is gauged by its implementation and the concerted efforts including creating awareness among parents, community, and the field functionaries of Education is required to make the RTE Act a reality. If our parents, community are not well informed on the basic provisions of the RTE Act-2009 & APRTE rules and the educational facilities available for their children education and also how to approach the different field functionaries to resolve various issues related to their children education, it will remain a piece of paper.
Keeping in view of the aim of RTE Act-2009 and APRTE rules-2010, the State Project Director desires to organize a training program for the parents to create awareness.
Therefore, the District Educational Officers & Ex-Officio Project Coordinators and Additional Project Coordinators of Samagra Shiksha in the state are instructed to identify the Eight (8) resource persons from your district concerned, who are well-versed with knowledge on RTE Act-2009 and APRTE Rules and its implementation, by following the under mentioned composition. Mandal Educational Officer-1, Primary School Headmaster-1, High School Headmaster-1. Reputed NGO-1, Senior teacher from Primary School-1, Senior teacher from High School-1, Chairperson/Vice-Chairperson of Parents committee-2.
