AP Samagra Shiksha Amaravati-Quality Education-Fit India program
1. I wish to inform you that, the Government of Andhra Pradesh has informed that the Hon'ble Prime Minister has launched a nationwide "Fit India Movement" on 29th August 2019 to inculcate physical-activity/sports into the daily life of citizens. In this regard, the Department of Sports has requested to organize the FIT INDIA Plogging Run on 2nd October 2019 as a tribute to the Father of Nation on his 150th Birth Anniversary. The participants would collect plastics garbage while running The plastic garbage could be collected from homes, streets and open spaces along the path of Run.
2. The Secretary to Government of India took up a video conference with all State on 18-11-2019 from 1.30 PM to 3.00 PM. The instructions issued by him are recorded here for necessary follow up action. MHRD is launching (3) major campaigns viz., Fitlndia, Shreshta Bharat Ek Bharat and Constitution Day celebrations.
3. In view of the above, Sri SK. Mahaboob Basha, Secretary, School Games Federation of AP, O/o the CSE, AP, Amaravati is appointed as Nodal Officer of this
program. As part of this program, it is proposed to organizing various activities in the schools for 6 working days from 2nd to 7h December 2019. The guidelines are herewith enclosed.
4. The Nodal Officer is requested to monitor the program closely to organizing the activities in the schools as per guidelines without fail and submit the day-wise report to the undersigned.
5. In this regard, I request the Commissioner of School Education, AP, Amaravati to issue necessary instructions to all the District Educational Officers in the State to organize various activities in the schools for 6 working days from 2nd to 7-December 2019 as per the guidelines are herewith enclosed.
6. This has got the approval of the State Project Director, Samagra Shiksha, Andhra Pradesh, Amaravati.
